My cat is with me most of the day
Sleeping and purring and having milk
At times playful with my grandchild,
But mostly, my dear cat is with me.

My cat looks up when I call her name
And comes running when she sees me;
My cat and I together sit in the sun
She loves me best and is faithful to me.
