Remembering my mother

My mother is no more by my side;
Then why do I still feel her love?
We are taught that no one returns
From the land of the dead!
But even in going to that land,
Some keep on touching us
Just to let us know that love remains,
Beyond this veil of life,
And nothing that is good and true is lost.

I really love this poem and it made me remember my own mother as well as my father. I will come back in the near future for further reading. Hope you don't mind.

This one made me rather wistful as nothing or noone is permanent. Even as we realize this its tough to take separation from a loved and a dear one and hard to accept they are no more. So close they have been that it almosts seems like they are omnipresent always..A touching poem Ayesha.

At the level of physical reality they are no longer with us; but where it really matters, the loved ones always stay: in our hearts.

Love lingers on wherever we go and however far one might get...love is the magic wand that stays by our side to heal our pain.
