Now

Going through the land of trials,
As all alone I stand and reach out
Crying for help, and in pain,
There is none to respond to my screams.

If this is what life is all about,
Then death is what I would prefer;
How is it that I cannot kill myself,
Even when every part in me breaks apart?

The silent sobs have quietened down
As I am tired and all vacant inside…
But, yet again the pain starts
And the remembrance and the fear come back.

With pain behind and fear ahead,
I have no answer for myself;
But somewhere, there is someone
Who makes me walk through the hell.

That someone today I call:
Be with me or I shall die;
For you have I taken every step;
Now, wash away the pain, for yours am I.

complete romance.. complete romance is what i feel in this.. though traces of thoughts on death are seen, i just neglect those, and i see only romance in this post.. well written and well expressed..

@ Sana,

Hey, thank you very much. You always encourage me.

@ Shravan,

Hi! Romance as well as the divine...love at both the levels.
You see, the sages say that love and worship are actually the same thing expressed in different ways...and about this, I agree with them.

For some people, it is inside out; they can't help it :)

Thanks for liking my work.

@ Swetha,

Yes, you are right, Swetha; it is about the essence of pain. I personally believe that if there is pain, it needs to be acknowledged, not covered up. Otherwise, it is difficult to heal.
I think you will agree with me on this.

Thank you for all the encouragement:)
